Maurice J. Gallagher
President and Chief Executive Officer of Allegiant Air
Mr. Gallagher has served as CEO of Allegiant Air since August 2003. Previously, Mr. Gallagher devoted his time to investment activities, including companies which he founded. One of these companies was Mpower Communications, a telecommunications company, for which he served as CEO from 1997 to 1999.
Prior to Mpower, Mr. Gallagher founded ValuJet Airlines. Previously, Mr. Gallagher was a Founder and President of WestAir Holding, a commuter airline headquartered in California which was sold to Mesa Airlines. He also helped launch PurchasePro.com, an electronic marketplace provider, and BankServ, a provider of proprietary electronic payment systems.
