Edward Herring
Partner of HM Capital Partners LLC
Mr. Herring is a Partner of HM Capital Partners LLC a private equity fund with over $1.6 billion under management. Since joining HM Capital in 1998, Mr. Herring has been involved in a variety of investment transactions spanning multiple industry sectors. He was closely involved in the monitoring and successful exit of the firm’s investment in Triton Energy. He has been extensively involved in the growth and development of the firm’s broadcast television platform through LIN Television, as well as the structuring and execution of the recapitalization process for Viasystems, the firm’s electronics contract manufacturing platform.
Most recently, Mr. Herring led HM Capital's investment in Swift & Company, a global protein processing business acquired from ConAgra Foods in 2002. Prior to joining HM Capital, Mr. Herring worked in the Corporate Finance Department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in San Francisco for three years. Mr. Herring received his BA in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University and his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
